Typical gothic hairstyles model themselves, among others after the new wave and punk sub cultures of the 80s. Goths are well known for the fact that they have stayed true to their style over many years. This style is not limited to hair as the appropriate dress code, and makeup is traditionally worn the same from adolescence to adulthood.
